EDUCATION
Schools Food & Farming Days
RETURNING ON WEDNESDAY THE 21ST MAY 2025
We are dedicated to educating the next generation all about food and farming.

The Schools Education Day held annually in May is specifically aimed at upper Key Stage 2 children (aged 9 to 11 years) at primary schools based in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull.
Each year over 1,500 children enjoy a hands-on, interactive day of learning. Since the event started in 2016.

More than 70 bases illustrate different aspects of farming, food production and the countryside throughout the day. Working machinery is on hand in the main ring with livestock completing the experience for both learner and teacher.

If you are a School and would like to participate, please contact the Showground for details, or If you would like to help the society by either offering your time to help steward the day or if you are involved in working the land or food production please get in touch with the society office for further details on 01377 257494 or by email elaine@driffieldshowground.co.uk.
